I have noticed that my day unfolds as I desire. The setting of intention actually, sets my mind in a receptive and releasing condition. In other words it keeps my mind in ‘right’ thinking. It allows me to relax and allow the peace and good and higher consciousness to be what guides my actions and the outcome of my day. Over time your intentions become your life through consistency, a better understanding of the process and outcomes. Ester and Jerry Hicks book, my spiritual mentor Rev. Deena Jones and Rev. Debra’s works have assisted me in gaining more insight for my growth.

I have been surprised at times that the outcome of encounters in certain situations have been amenable, because I remember a time when those same situations would have ended in anger or blame and the whole conversation would have been strained. That was during my pre-Intention setting days.

Setting intentions is not new to me, it is something I have done for some time. However, recently as I stated earlier, I am much more consistent and my intentions themselves are clearer, more concise and reflect a growth in my consciousness.

In Ester and Jerry Hicks books, it is suggested that you consciously set intentions throughout the day for specific situations to give strength to the desired unfoldment. That is something I am working into my day, though I must admit I forget sometimes. This is another aspect of my practice I want to encompass.

Many years ago one of my spiritual mentors suggested that the correct thinking is to set your intentions and thank God for the great day you had. Then get out of bed, knowing that they have already happened and all you have to do is peacefully and happily walk through your day.

Rev. Debra in the piece she wrote suggests that there is an important distinction between intent and intention. She states, “Intention carries more of a sense of action…. .” Her description of intent and intention opens up yet an higher way of thinking of intention as not only something I should set each day for the day but use the process for setting goals and reaching my dreams. The piece also suggests that setting intentions is not just a process for the unfoldment of your day, but an even greater spiritual unfoldment of your life and that guided action is the key to the distinction.

My intention is to include the new knowledge acquired from these readings into my “intention setting” practices and watch my life unfold in new and wonderful ways.

It’s Not Your Father’s Retirement – A New Frontier

The word “retirement” has lost some of its glory. The days of leaving a job, living on a pension and sitting at home are long gone. Only a special few have this luxury.

Do you find yourself faced with the situation that you are 50 plus and ready to make some changes, retirement being one of them? There is still that group of baby boomers who have had the privilege of working on a job or in the same system that would afford them a decent retirement be it pension, 401K plan or savings.

Since that 2nd phase of life or senior living is not laid out and ready to go, there are many choices and decisions to be made. I have experienced people who have some fears, concerns, misgivings, confusion, overwhelm, in trying to figure out what this next phase has in store. What is the plan? Whether you’ve been on the same job for 20+ years or several jobs since you were 20 years old, something about not having that job to go to and someone to pay you, brings up some very interesting feelings and emotions when you are at the point of making major changes in regard to your work.

What to do and be successful, happy, fulfilled, secure, and have some fun with your new found freedom? Who are you if you thought of yourself as a secretary, doctor, factory worker, teacher and now you are not doing that kind of work. The question may come up, “who am I?” Sometimes your identity gets caught up with your job title. How will you handle or take care of your health? After all you are a little older and have a few more health considerations. Should you downsize your life and home? Is it time to start paying off bills and not starting any new ones? Or should you buy a lot of stuff you think you will need now while you still have a few years of a pay check? Are you going to have the same friends? Just what is life going to look like?

All in all, because it is a big change there is much uncertainty, excitement and questions? No problem.

I don’t have to tell you a little planning and research is surely necessary. I would like to suggest, look at your life and be sure you are aware of your dreams and desires. Consider getting in a support group of people in similar situation. Develop your spiritual practices of prayer, meditation, visioning and positive thinking. Be patient with yourself and relax. Move into this new life taking it a day at a time. Look forward to the journey. Consider it a “new frontier.”

For connections to others like you check out Here
Read More

Master Minding is like working with a "dream team"

Working with a mastermind group has made all the difference. I guess Napoleon Hill, when he wrote Think and Grow Rich, and so many others were right. Even my daddy use to say "two heads are better than one." So I figure 5 heads are even better. What a dream team!!!

You have a dream for your life and I want to help you make it true. I believe working with peers, sharing goals, challenges and success opens up the door to all possibilities. They give of their experience, ideas, support, for my success. What's great about masterminding is everyone benefits. Just bring it on, there is no challenge or big or problem to complicated that can't be discussed and a resolution found. We are accountable for ourselves and each other.

It is such a pleasure facilitating mastermind groups. Working with like-minded people who want a business that is aligned with their purpose and passion for life makes the process delightful. Some members are first time business owners, home based, baby boomers, retired and in business or just in a transition from one business to another or one level to another. It doesn't matter, the idea is the same, build a better life and business and live your dream.

With the Internet and teleconferencing the opportunity to work with members from all over the world is very exciting. The new media put icing on the cake for tried and true models.

I would like to know more about master mind groups for purpose and passion

I want to see it on youtube

Submit your name and email in the form on the upper right hand corner of this page and be on the list to be contacted for the next group starting soon.

Changing Lifestyles for Women Over 50: Celebrating this Rite of Passage

Achieving the milestone of 50 years is something to be celebrated. Changing lifestyles that come with the passage of time can cause you to completely re-think your life and may even inspire you to change directions. It's important to celebrate life's rites of passage--to be grateful for all that you have learned and gained and been given in your first fifty years and to look forward with great anticipation to the next fifty years of life.

Mindfulness TriumphsMark Twain wisely said, “Age is an issue of mind over matter. If you don’t mind, it doesn’t matter.” Women over 50 are poised to take on the second stage of life with a lot of aplomb and passion. They have survived the passage from girlhood to adulthood. They lived and worked their way through their 20's, 30's and 40's often getting married, raising children, getting divorced, becoming widows and dealing with health and financial challenges along the way.

When a woman finally achieves a 'certain age' she has learned for herself not to sweat the small stuff of life--and she has learned that it's almost all small stuff. Another wonderful thing happens when a woman has reached the golden age. She can become amazingly self-assured. There’s a sexy confidence that comes from not really caring anymore what “they” will say about whatever she does. She is learning to put herself first for a change, and she is reveling in all of the new opportunities available to her at this stage of her evolution.

Celebrate your Transition
Before you launch headlong into the second stage of your life, you should take a moment and find a way to commemorate the passage of time and all that you have accomplished until now. This will also serve to inspire you to move ahead and fulfill the goals that you have set for the future.

In the book, Women's Rites of Passage: How to Embrace Change and Celebrate Life, Abigail Brenner, MD writes, "As microcosms that mirror life itself, rites of passage are intimately tied to cycles, or stages, of life." As you move from one stage to another, an observation of that passage serves as a bridge to carry you from the woman you have been to the woman who is still in the process of becoming.

Turning 50 can bring a woman’s focus to her mission. She may begin to hear the whispers of mortality and begin to grow concerned about her legacy and what she can do to contribute something of herself to the world. If she has raised children, they are indeed a contribution, but after they are grown and out of the house a woman may still need to find an outlet for sharing and passing on her talents, skills and passions to those coming up who are eager to learn what she learned over a lifetime.

Eileen Williams, on her blog, ‘The Fiesty Side of Fifty,’ writes, “. . . there are twenty-nine million of us boomer gals who have already celebrated our half-century birthdays. Can this really be done effectively? First of all don’t quit your full time job or mess it up until you are in a position to replace that income. Some people are under the gun of being laid off or taking a reduction in pay, which may not be your choice at the moment. But as long as you have your full time job you can schedule your home business work around it. And yes, it can be done.

Many people are doing it and calling it a hobby, or side interest or a part time job. People have other interest that they do very successfully even when they have a job. Take for instance you are an avid golfer. You wouldn't let your job get in the way of golfing. You figure it out and work around the job. So think of the home business as a very important interest in your life.

I hear you ask. Where do I find the time? Consider your home business working time as the hours before work, lunch time, after work, weekends, off days, and holidays. Take very deliberate steps to do your work. Set your goals, set some time frames, look at each of the tasks and determine when they have to be done. Calls can be done at night, meetings can be done during your lunch or right after work. If calls have to be made to other time zones, maybe they can be done before you go to work. Studying and business education can be done during the commute, using CDs, MP3s, IPods and don’t forget to add them as tax write offs for your business. And we haven’t even used the hours on Saturday or Sunday yet. See how this could work?

What did you say? Where should I start? I would like to also suggest that you determine which aspect of your home business you can be working on while at a full time job. Really consider which area you can focus on that would be advantages as well as workable. There are many aspects to building a business, i.e., the business plan, building a client base and getting emails, setting goals, masterminding, making important contacts, building an infrastructure, joining organizations, getting education and training, and researching the industry or product. Also very important is determining how much money you will need and the source of funds. Look for the parts of the business you can outsource, so it can be working for you.

Sounds like a little much. If this sounds a little overwhelming it may be. Certainly, it will require focus, commitment, energy, and time. But that is what it takes. And it will be yours. Something you enjoy not like another job. Remember to be gentle with yourself, get the support you need from partners, team members and schedule time for family, friends, and fun.

Get your Free ebook The Science of Getting Rich by Andy Andrews Opt in on the righthand side

Have the retirement you want living the lifestyle you choose-Work with a mastermind group

Happy New Year - How's Your Resolution Workin' for Ya?

Well we are well into January 2010. If you made a resolution I pray it is still working for you. Several years ago my last resolution was not to make any more resolutions. They really had just become something to say because everyone else seemed to say them. You know the “end of year culture.” However they proved to never work. I stopped doing the same thing over and over and over and expecting a different outcome. What’s that called – insanity? R-I-G-H-T.

Now I make some plans after some reflection of the previous year’s successes, clean out, organize and prepare my mindset for a better year ahead. There’s no failure. No beating myself up ‘cause I didn’t succeed.

You life doesn’t set back to zero (0) when the New Year comes. It has just become an opportunity to reset your mind so you move forward positively and leave behind old habits and unhealthy thought patterns.

Make it a prosperous, abundant, joyful, fun, peaceful, and plenty of money year.

Christmas Tips for Enjoying the Season

There are many traditions and ideas that are celebrated and commemorated during this time of year. In the US A and other dominantly Christian based countries the celebration of Christmas usually dominates. This is reflected in the approved days off from work, the increase in shopping for gifts. This time of year or season has so many things going on.

Much of the traditions and symbols and where they originated from are mixed together. The idea of Christmas in December is based on birth date of Jesus. And there is even controversy around the actual date of his birth. Then there is the fat man in the red suit with a white beard, that has nothing to do with Jesus, but much to do with toys and children. I have heard many different stories about where that tradition originates? The Christmas traditions include the symbols of Christmas tree and ornaments, decorations, candy canes and gifts. Some of these are seasonal symbols and things that are associated with autumn. So this mishmash of symbols and activity has various origins. I don't want to leave out the shopping and the high expectations of gift giving for this time of year which was instituted by capitalism.
It is also documented that during this time of year there is increased amounts of anxiety, sadness and depression when people don't seem to fit into to the prevailing expectations.

What does it all mean? It's good to know the truth about Christmas, and the season, where the symbols and other things originated so you don't get caught up in the hype, confusion, or inappropriate personal expectations. Christmas/autumn/fall season tips:

1. Set a holiday plan that reflects your situation that will work for you. Money management is a critical part of this plan.
2. Plan your traveling and trips well in advance.
3. Make a list of people and gifts. Be creative about your gifts. Making homemade gifts can be relaxing enhance your creativity and reduce stress. I sometimes give gifts that give people time with you or that can come in the future, (saves money) for example:

A. I will babysit for you for ......
B. I would love to have lunch with you and a friend in February.
C. I will send you $10 in March.
D. Let's go to the movies when your favorite one comes in June.
E. I will cook your favorite meal
G. Etc.
4. Use the great sales to buy gifts for the whole year.
5. Don't do the same thing each year if it r-e-a-l-l-y doesn't work for you. You don't have to. Give yourself permission to change something.

6. Do something different, add a new tradition, change something, make it work.
7. Keep focused on the giving aspect, good feelings, doing for others and fun Christmas things to do.

I personally love this time of year. I like everything about it that is cheerie, loving, fellowship. I enjoy the lights, carols, but I don't do much shopping. Did I mention the food and parties. My flight was for 6:25 am and I am here at 3:00am. Oh well, that’s why I carry books and food. The ticket counter hadn’t even opened yet. There were two women there who had been there over night so as not to over sleep and miss their early flight. I must say I have met some interesting people in my travels. A little after I arrived another woman came. We started talking and she was going to Rome, get this, for the October 11, 2009 Canonization of Father Damien called the leprosy priest. Her story is so beautiful I would like to share it with you and I did get her permission.

For 20 years Barbara has visited Moloka’i in Hawaii. On the Eastern coast of Moloka’i is Kalaupapa, divided by rough mountainous terrain can only be access by mules, a colony of “lepers” that have lived there for almost 200 years. Of course they are no longer lepers, but they are the descendants of the colony. Father Damien (Joseph (Jozef) de Veuster of Belgium, 1840 to 1989) was assigned to go there in 1864 for 4 months but soon realized that this was his calling. He worked there for 16 years until he himself contracted and died from the virus. Years later he is being canonized after much prayer and appreciation for his work. Barbara has always felt a very strong spiritual connection with the people and area. She never imagined that she would be able to attend the Canonization, but in the past two weeks the opportunity became available so she accepted the blessing and she and her sister were on their way to Rome, to the Vatican. She hasn’t visited Rome in 40 years. Actually that is about the same time I was there, imagine that. We might have passed each other on the street. Later on I ran into Barbara going to the gate and she just found out they have first class tickets. That is what life is all about. This is why I travel, I haven’t even gotten to my destination yet, and I have met an interesting person living her dream. Barbara has a beautiful spirit and this trip to the Vatican is well deserved.
Father Damien was canonized Saint Damien of Moloka’i October 11, 2009.

Internet Marketer Closes Storage - Opens New Space

<img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_8Y3HtL2XhcE/SrALBNVoLYI/AAAAAAAAAA4/Te4JbHvBuVg/s200/My+old+thinking.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5381813670095891842" />

I did something huge. I have been paying for a storage space for 5 ½ years. The brief version is that with the assistance of my life coach I finally made a decision to close it, focused, made plans and executed them. I flew across country and closed my storage. Well, I wish it was that easy. It was necessary to reduce 30 various size boxes to 16 medium size boxes. The process require a strategy, making quick decisions, letting go, reorganizing, changing my mind, lifting, pulling, and discarding. I was tired and sometimes frustrated, but the important thing is I stuck to it and completed my mission.

So what does this have to do with internet marketing, owning your own business and working at home? Well a lot. After the ordeal I took the opportunity to look at what was really going on with me. As a boss sometimes you have to make quick and uncomfortable decisions. I have had to let go of some good friends as well as old habits in order to move forward in my business. Assessing my plans and reorganizing my activities to get results is constant and ongoing. As an entrepreneur, it’s important to pull all of my strength, talent and creativity to devise and carry out my marketing plans. It is critical for a business owner to remain in order to keep going when times get a little challenging.

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 200px; height: 150px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_8Y3HtL2XhcE/SrAMzblgdQI/AAAAAAAAABA/-yUSZhlN9b4/s200/Empty+Storage+Space+HEY.JPG" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5381815632425678082" />

When I look at this situation metaphysically, the storage space represented being stuck, there was no movement happening. There was clutter and old things that no longer fit into my new life. I have now opened up some space in my life. My conscious is clear of one bill, released from thoughts about what to do, and always trying to decide what to buy and not to buy because I have it in storage. I feel free, so now I am open for new opportunities and possibilities. THAT’s HUGE! As I grow me, my business will grow. Do you want to work from home?
